Story
Mexican decaf coffee Esmeralda is renowned for its exceptional quality and smooth flavor profile. Originating from the lush coffee-growing regions of Mexico, Esmeralda is particularly noted for its well-balanced taste and rich aroma. The decaffeination process used for this coffee is the Ethyl Acetate (EA) Natural Process, which is both gentle and effective. This method begins by steaming or soaking the green coffee beans to open up their pores, making them more receptive to caffeine extraction. The beans are then immersed in Ethyl Acetate, a naturally occurring organic compound derived from fruits and vegetables, which selectively bonds with caffeine molecules. This allows the caffeine to be effectively removed from the beans while preserving much of the coffee’s original flavor. After the caffeine extraction, the beans are thoroughly rinsed to remove any residual EA, then re-dried to restore their original moisture content before being bagged for transport. The result is a decaf coffee that maintains the nuanced flavors and rich body characteristic of high-quality Mexican coffee, offering a delightful cup without the caffeine.
